Senior Electronics Engineer

Andor has ambitious growth plans for the next 5-year period and we are expanding our Engineering Team by recruiting for additional Senior Electronics Engineers who will play an important part in implementing the growth strategy. The Senior Electronics Engineers will work in the New Product Development team extending and enhancing Andor’s innovative scientific product portfolio. The Senior Electronics Engineer will be responsible for the electronics design of the next generation of leading-edge scientific camera-based products.

 

You will join a Hardware development team working alongside our other highly experienced multidisciplinary teams including Physicists, Software, Mechanical and FPGA engineers.  Key responsibilities include the architecture, design, implementation and testing of robust and scalable digital and analogue circuitry, based on internal and external customer requirements.

 

We are also open to applications at Electronics Engineer level.  

 

The Electronics Engineer will have: 

  • 2.1 (or higher) BSc/BEng qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification

OR

  • 6 years hardware engineering development experience

AND

  • At least 5 years’ experience in developing hardware solutions for significant NPI projects (this can be included in experience above)
  • Experience in the product development lifecycle from requirements gathering to test and support
  • Experience designing with high end FPGAs, high speed serial interfaces and memories
  • Excellent PCB rework skills on component scales down to 0402

 

These permanent positions are based at our Belfast headquarters full time onsite
