Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Andor is currently recruiting for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to provide strategic sourcing leadership to the Andor site via cross functional team activities. The successful candidate will drive projects across the assigned categories to minimise cost and risk whilst maximising quality, service, and sustainability. The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will collaborate and manages cross functional teams to meet targets while also developing value adding projects for the allocated categories and driving their execution consistent with OI’s overall Horizon and sustainability strategies.


Some of the main responsibilities include:

  • Manage suppliers to build trust to resolve issues regarding performance, timelines, product quality, delivery and commitments
  • Create bid packages and perform bid analysis, reviewing findings and recommendations with Purchasing Management and Project Team for assigned commodities
  • Cost saving project management, negotiation of favourable payment terms, pricing, MOQ, lot sizes, with suppliers as assigned
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives in order to drive process improvements, reduce costs and leverage supplier relationships


The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will have: 

  • Degree in Engineering, Business or Science Discipline or equivalent relevant qualification
  • Supply chain qualification, CIPS or equivalent
  • Experience in sourcing and supply chain
    Manage and lead multiple projects
  • High level of procurement expertise is required to develop, implement, and publish category strategies that result in an aligned supply base to meet the needs of the business on a global basis
