In this role you will be working in the Product Engineering team enhancing Andor’s innovative scientific product portfolio and providing technical support. The role extends to mechanical design and development of scientific cameras and high end opto-mechanical mechanisms, engineering change management within a production environment, bill of material management, one-off customer special request support and development, support for customer queries and production technical support.

Responsibilities

 

  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts – including but not limited to payroll journals, prepayment journals; fixed asset close
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations in various foreign currencies p.payment / FA / warranty release
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly finance reports
  • Weekly Cash Reporting, Cash Forecasting and Bank reconciliations in various currencies
  • Preparation of monthly VAT Returns
  • Monthly P&L review of cost centres and reporting on variances to budget and responding to queries
  • Liaising with foreign payroll bureaus
  • Process monthly employee expense claim and credit card claim process
  • Process Intercompany invoices; reconciliations and payment of intercompany balances
  • Completing and submitting monthly and quarterly business surveys
  • Year End – External audit support and providing support on completion of Stat account and Corporation Tax Pack
  • Provide support to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions when required
  • Any other duties as may be reasonably requested from time to time by your Line Manager

 

Essential criteria

 

  • Third level education or IATI qualified

  • Working towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ICAI)
  • 24 months accounting experience within a similar role
  • Management accounts prep experience
  • Involvement in either AP or AR function
     

Desirable criteria

 

  • Qualified accountant
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Multi-currency experience
  • Experience in working in a similar size organization #LI-OF1
