At Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology, we provide tools for the engineering of micro- and nano-structures, with customers using our process solutions to research and produce materials and semiconductors vital for everything from medical devices and diagnostics, to electric cars and quantum computers.

 

We are thrilled to announce an opening for a Semiconductor Marketing and Technology Specialist to become a part of our team in Bristol, with the option of hybrid work arrangements. As a candidate, you must possess the ability to create compelling content and presentations that effectively showcase the advantages of our solutions and how they meet our customers' requirements. You will gain extensive knowledge and proficiency in our products to serve as the technology specialist and the primary source of technical content generation and guidance within the marketing team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Creating effective sales presentations is essential to reaching our strategic objectives. These presentations must be convincing, precise, and current. To enhance efficiency and accountability, we are developing a new information resource for our sales team. We are seeking a new team member to own and maintain this resource.

 

Sharing information externally:

  • Collaborate with technical teams to create compelling selling points and messages for our solutions. Use this information to produce both digital and traditional content that effectively communicates the unique technical advantages of our product range.
  • Coordinate maintenance of the information resource with our technical teams, to ensure new innovations are captured and obsolete or modified systems are accurately reflected in our content
  • Oversee and produce digital media to convey the benefits of our solutions and our brand value and reputation
  • Produce and present material for meetings, webinars and conferences
  • To maintain an active presence on LinkedIn and utilize your profile as a valuable tool to showcase your professional achievements and network with influential figures within your industry.

 

Sharing and managing information internally:

  • Produce, develop and maintain sales enablement materials, and guide and support our sales teams in communicating our key messages to customers
  • Ensure the value of our brand and process solutions are understood and able to be conveyed by global sales, technical and customer service teams.

 

Information/knowledge gathering

  • Research, analyze and understand market specific applications/devices and how our technologies deliver value in each case
  • Actively engage with customers at all stages of the buyer’s journey to support VOC activity and input into our understanding of our customers’ roadmap
  • Work with the Product Management team to deliver market analysis relating to roadmap and lead the KSP message refinement process
  • Support R&D project submission for project resource justification

 

Competitors

  • Build an understanding of our competitors’ product range and determine how we can strategically tailor our message to maximise our strengths and negate our weaknesses

 

Education / Qualifications: 

  • Higher-level academic qualifications and technical background in semiconductor technology

  • Experienced hands-on cleanroom or strong theoretical knowledge of plasma processing equipment used in semiconductor manufacture

  • A good understanding of marketing concepts and constructing concise and persuasive value propositions

 

Professional Skills/ Abilities:

  • Skilled in multitasking and planning efficiently.
  • Excellent producer of presentation material.
  • Capable of conducting research and analysing intricate technical information.
  • Ability to understand technical articles, extract and enhance important messages, and transform them into content that is tailored to the needs of the customer.
  • To be able to communicate proficiently and engage in discussions on a technical level.
  • Able to carry out market analysis and create strategic value from the research.
  • Capable of producing presentations that blend seamlessly with other materials used by the company and group.
