The Opportunity

 

The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for manufacturing products and components to meet agreed quality, time-scale and cost objectives

 

About You

 

The Manufacturing Technician will ideally have the following skills and attributes:

 

  • A recognised relevant engineering qualification such as an apprenticeship, NVQ etc
  • Will have held a similar role in a similar environment
  • Electrical and electronic assembly,
  • wiring looms,
  • Electrical soldering,
  • Surface mount soldering
  • Bench assemblies
  • Some mechanical assembly,
  • H&S Compliance
  • Constructively challenges
  • Carries out tasks with minimal supervision
  • Takes ownership of the process and improvements
  • Focus on personal development
  • Positive & professional attitude to work and OI
  • Drives a quality culture
  • Flexible and can respond positively to change
  • Acts with honesty, integrity and openness
  • Desire to do a good job
  • Can work with a team and independently
  • Takes responsibility and is accountable

Key Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Technician

 

  • From team production plan, manage personal workload ensuring all milestones are achieved
  • Supports the implementation of best practice processes, techniques and continuous improvement methods
  • Operate within the Quality policy and procedures as defined in the quality system
  • Maintain a flexible attitude and approach to changing requirements and priorities
  • Recognise team customers, both internal and external and strive to fully satisfy their needs
  • Personally, demonstrates highest standards of workmanship
  • Using agreed measures, monitor and report on existing processes, indicating the need for corrective action as required
