About the Opportunity:

As a newly created position within Andor’s Americas Sales team, the Inside Sales Representative will play a fundamental role in driving increased awareness and interest in Andor’s Benchtop Microscopy instruments. The desired candidate will need to possess the motivation, communications skills, and collaboration to deliver a high quality and quantity of scientists to Andor workshops, demonstrations, and other events. Coupled with the enthusiasm to proactively prospect for, and qualify, leads for Andor’s products and services that will identify new business opportunities for Sales colleagues.  To be effective in this role, he/she must be ambitious in their thinking, have a commercial mindset and enjoy working closely with Sales teams and customers.

 

The Inside Sales Representative will generate interest and attendance at Andor Benchtop microscopy events (demos, roadshows, conferences, workshops), qualify in-bound sales inquiries, execute prospecting at target accounts, lead nurturing campaigns, carry-out pro-active sales activities and generate low-value quotations in response to online requests for Life Science products, accessories, spares. They will collaborate with sales team, product specialists to maximize impact of demonstrations, workshops and other significant client engagement and support sales in tender preparation and common finance/legal documentation.  The Inside Sales Rep will be responsible for at least four Benchtop microscopy demonstrations, workshops or other events at major accounts, per month.

 

About the Candidate: 

The right candidate for this role is innovative, enthusiastic and works comfortably as part of a team and independently, will have experience in a similar role gained in a technology or life science business, has a good working knowledge of sales methodologies and the selling process and is strong with digital / social media and can use effectively to identify business opportunities.  Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or similar required.

  • Adept at business systems with a good working knowledge of business processes
  • Is highly organized and detail-oriented and can manage complex projects from planning stages through execution and thorough reporting
  • Demonstrates proven track record of achieving goals and delivering against commitments
  • Possesses excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Has a proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Proficiently utilizes modern business tools: internet, MS Office, CRM, Social media
