Senior Development Physicist

This is a newly created role, working in a small, diverse team that will allow you to be involved with product development from concept through to production for NMR instrumentation.  Working with exciting technology you will be immersed in a creative environment that will continue your technical development.

The opportunity

 

Working as part of a multiskilled product development team, you will be developing targeted leading-edge technology, delivering new products and features inline with the roadmap and enabling and implementing experimental capabilities for application scientists. The role will involve developing features for new and existing NMR instruments, understanding instrumentation functionality, working to deadlines and undertaking experimental design, including documenting the data. You will also be required to identify where intellectual property is arising and capturing at the appropriate stage.

 


About you

 

It is likely that you will have a PhD in Physics or Engineering (or the equivalent in work experience), as well as experience in scientific research and development. Your understanding of physics and prior experience of working on scientific analytical products such as NMR, Raman or X-Ray, together with your creative and practical approach to problem solving will make you the ideal candidate for this opportunity.  It would be desirable if you had experience of script writing in python, however training will be provided.
