Regional Research Sales Engineer- UK

 

Andor is a highly innovative, dynamic and progressive technology company at the cutting-edge of scientific research, we are currently going through a period of significant growth and expanding our dynamic Physical Sciences team.

 

We are hiring for a Regional Research Sales Engineer which is an exciting and challenging role, forming part of the successful Physical Sciences Sales Team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for selling Andor research products within the UK, with a potential to expand into Benelux.  By combining technical knowledge and excellent commercial skills the role holder will grow sales in an already strong territory to achieve sales targets. 

 

Through participating in events and customer visits the Regional Research Sales Engineer will expand their influence and grow Andor's presence through a wide range of physical science markets including:  Material Science, Chemistry, High Energy Physics, Quantum Optics, Astronomy, Plasma Science, Combustion and many more.  

 

The Regional Research Sales Engineer will interact on a daily basis with top academic researchers in these fields, helping them to develop their latest experiments by supplying our state of the art equipment. The role holder will be supported by our Application Specialists, Product Managers and the rest of the EMEA sales team, most of them working remotely across the region.

 

The Regional Research Sales Engineer will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a Physical Science Discipline; Chemistry or Physics (Optics) are preferable.
  • 3 years Sales experience – selling highly technical products to academic research customers
  • Excellent written and spoken English

 

This position is located in the UK and is open to any candidates living in the UK – it is home office-based position.  The successful candidate should live close enough to a large city with mean of transportation (train-airport) and relevant academic research activities.
