We are looking for an Electronics Engineer to help us develop new electronic designs to keep the product range relevant to current market demands. You will be responsible to specify and design top level and detailed electrical along with electronic circuits and embedded control software.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan and manage development project activities to deliver project milestones on time, and in full. Record and disseminate results clearly and appropriately.
  • Own and develop embedded control architecture across the X-Ray Technology family of power supplies. 
  • Network with the wider technical community and contribute to the product road map to keep us at the leading edge of relevant technology.  
  • Carry out any other tasks that may be reasonably required by the Company.

 

Education/Qualifications:

 

  • Masters degree in electrical/electronic engineering, or relevant degree plus proven track record in electronic design.

 

Professional Skills/Abilities:

 

  • At least 2 years’ experience of product development preferably in a similar work environment
  • Proven experience in role in which you owned and delivered a tangible product development or research project
  • At least 3 years in an analog/mixed-signal design role.
  • Software/firmware development experience with C/C++ or Python in an embedded environment.
  • Experienced in developing firmware/software for Microcontroller/Microprocessors
  • Proven understanding of device drivers such as RS232/485, Embedded TCP/IP and Web Servers, I2C, SPI, USB
  • Hands on Linux/Embedded Linux/Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) experience
  • Experience in working using source control tools
  • Experience with analog electronic design, construction, debug, and test.  Experience with schematic entry and PCB Layout.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate in a matrix environment and work in partnership with development, product management, project management, operations, and services.
  • Able to effectively communicate difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus, displaying accountability and ownership
  • Should be able to drive own projects without external monitoring.
  • Desirable: Experience with x-ray tubes and high voltage systems
  • Desirable: Experience of 3D modelling (Solidworks preferred) and thermal analysis
  • Desirable: A good understanding of database and IIoT principles
  • Desirable: Experience in Labview for data acquisition and analysis
  • Desirable: Experience managing small teams
