Sales Manager - Life Science

Primary Purpose:

 

The individual appointed to Life Science Sales Manager, China is expected to develop and execute the strategy which will exploit the significant growth potential that exists within the China Life Science Research markets.  The Life Science Sales Manager, China will be responsible for the Management, Configuration, and Development of Regional Sales Staff & Distribution Channels to deliver the successful implementation of strategic & operational plans. They will represent the company at Senior Level across all business activities occurring in China and will regularly present business progress to Andor management board.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the implementation of the China Life Science Research Business plan in line with the Andor Global Sales Strategy and the regional context
     
  • Develop & expand the China Life Science business to ensure aggressive annual sales and service targets are achieved through implementation of go-to-market strategy.

 

  • Line management of designated employees ensuring the team are fully briefed, trained, and equipped to carry out their roles effectively. 

 

  • Drive effective Life Science segment solution-selling mindset within the entire team

 

  • Ensure accurate & timely data entry of all Life Science customer engagements using the Andor CRM 
     
  • Identify and qualify appropriate distribution channels consistent with the Andor Life Science segment sales strategy. Ensure contractual targets are regularly reviewed with an aim to exceed.
     
  • Provide strong ethical leadership in line with Andor’s stated business practice 
     
  • Mentor and coach, the Life Science sales and application team, foster a supportive team-spirit.

  • Booking & revenue delivery

  • Transparency of Life Science pipeline of opportunities on CRM reports

 

 

Person Specification – Essential requirements unless stated

  • The successful candidate will very likely be a graduate in a biology related discipline with preference for an advanced degree qualification.
  • They will have had relevant senior sales experience in a global organization. 
  • They will have significant experience in designing channel infrastructure both direct and via distributors across Asian Markets.
  • Any experience of working with Nikon in China would be an advantage.
  • The successful candidate will be commercially focused with strong staff management/motivation experience, and capable of developing and leading strategic change supporting both Andor and group strategy.
