Senior Applications Engineer

Working closely with others, ensure that OIPT equipment is fully functional and available for customer use, involving regular extensive travel on Asia basis. 

Demo developement job in OIPT Asia Lab ( ITRI ) and meet customer enquire.

 

Key responsibilities:

1. Process commissioning: Demonstrate process performance of tools installed at customer's sites to pass customer acceptance tests and achieve

    system acceptance. This will involve foreign travel ( weight ~30%)

2. Troubleshooting: Provide technical process trobleshooting and liaison with customers. ( weight ~10%)

3. Development and optimization process in OIPT Asia Lab Taiwan: Develop an excellent working knowledge of the technology to facilitate fault

    finding and root cause analysis on processing results or equipment performance to deliver optimised process and hardware performance. (

    weight ~50%)

4. Training: Carry out customer training both at OIPT and at customer sites ( weight ~10%)

 

Education:

1. A relevant science or engineering degree. Physical or EE engineering. 

2. Significant experience of the semiconductor industry or relevant experience in an academic institution.

 

Abilities:

1. Excellent written and oral communication

2. Thin film measuring skills (e.g. SEM)

 

Skills: General deposition or etch experience, if have below three processes capability, that will be better:

 1. Ion Beam ( Deposition and / or Etch )

 2. Deposition: PECVD, ICP CVD and ALD

 3. Etch: RIE, ICP and FA

 

 Personal Qualities:

1. Plans effectiviely in order to meet business objecctives

2. Plans own time to maximum effect,

3. Highly innovative and good lateral thinking skills for identifying opprotunities for technology development applications

4. Willingness to take on responsiblility

5. Willingness to travel 50% stay in Lab for demo and 50% travel for Field acceptance
