To support our growth, we are looking for a motivated colleague to join our multinational and interdisciplinary finance team in Ulm, Germany.


Financial Controller (f/m/d)

Your Tasks:

  • Preparing the monthly consolidated accounts for the WITec Business Unit and working with Finance Managers internationally to ensure reports are accurate
  • Preparing analysis and commentary monthly to support the financial statements for the WITec Business Unit
  • Preparation of monthly forecasts and submission to head office
  • Working with the business to create the budget on an annual basis
  • Preparation of weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports & analysis for the Materials Analysis Group and Head Office in the UK
  • Regular review of reports with respect to key KPIs (revenue, margin, order and sales analysis, overheads) for the companies in Germany and on a consolidated basis  
  • Proactive preparation, analysis of financial data and resulting advice to decision makers (e.g. Manager R&D, Operations)
  • Support and integration of any new finance function should the business make an acquisition
  • Intra-company allocations for personnel, materials and expenses
  • Assist in liaison with auditors and preparation of financial statements

Your Qualifications:

  • Completed studies with a focus on Finance, Accounting & Controlling.
  • Proven knowledge in consolidation, budgeting and forecasting within a complex, international company
  • Sound understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow accounting, planning and reporting (IFRS/HGB)
  • Strong numerical understanding and analytical skills
  • Practical approach, efficient communication skills on various stakeholder levels
  • Very good German and English language skills
  • Team player with service orientation
