As part of our service and support team, you will be the direct, technical contact for customers from a variety of disciplines, such as materials and geosciences, biology or medicine. These mostly come from industrial or academic research and are often leading scientists in their field.


Service and Support Engineer (f/d/m)

Your tasks:

  • Technical customer support for all company products worldwide, handling customer support requests.
  • Identifying causes of problems in direct customer communication and with the help of remote support, organizing and processing repair orders
  • Coordination of repair of faulty components as well as handling of repair requests on customer and supplier side
  • Realization of necessary technical adjustments together with customers, suppliers and other departments
  • Implementation of initial and upgrade installation and basic training on WITec microscopy systems at customer sites worldwide
  • After sales support and repair using remote maintenance tools
  • Execution of services, relocations, repairs etc.
  • Technical support at trade fairs worldwide (equipment set-up and dismantling)
  • Demand-oriented service training for internal and external WITec employees
  • Further development of the company's products in cooperation with the development department

Your qualifications:

  • Completed studies in the technical or engineering field
  • Alternatively: Technician or relevant professional training with appropriate work experience
  • Strong technical-physical background that facilitates an in-depth understanding of our measurement systems in the areas of optics, electronics and software
  • Advantageous: Experience in the field of microscopy as well as spectroscopy
  • Ability to work in a flexible and solution-oriented manner
  • Strong communication skills
  • Very good language skills in German and English
