Oxford Instruments is looking for an enthusiastic EMEA Marketing Communications Assistant to join our global marketing team.  
It is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen on high technological solutions, variety and diversity. The EMEA Marketing Assistant will work with the Marcom Manager to develop and promote awareness of the Oxford Instruments brand in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East & Africa) and focus on increased quality lead generation and conversion for multiple businesses.

Oxford Instruments’ head office is based in Tubney Woods, UK, but the regional team is remote or based in one of our global offices. This is a full-time role that can be based in either at our office in Wiesbaden or remotely in Europe; an easy access to an international airport is therefore highly desirable.

Your key responsibilities would be:

Digital Marketing

  • Support the Marcom Manager to plan and implement web-based marketing tactics and campaigns, focussing on website performance and converting visitors to leads for EMEA region.
  • Implement and monitor local digital marketing tactics in line with the BU strategies to increase qualified A leads which are passed to sales. For example, email campaigns, newsletters, marketing automation, webinars, blogs, social media, ensuring prompt tracking of campaign effectiveness.
  • Support the EMEA Marketing Manager in planning, promoting and executing localised webinars.
  • Ensure all relevant new web content is promptly localized and distributed across digital channels.
  • Localising the Oxford Instruments Social Media Strategy for Europe, focussing on LinkedIn, Xing, YouTube and Twitter.


Event Management & Communication

  • Coordinate and oversee the planning and logistics of European trade shows and events.
  • Support the Marcom Manager to manage the (internal and external) event calendar, ensuring that all submissions and abstract deadlines are met. 
  • Measure and optimise metrics from marketing campaign and events, tracking the leads and ensuring upload and input into the CRM.


Monthly Marketing Report

  • Help Marcom Manager to publish monthly Marketing Report to enable BUs to evaluate data, review results, and implement improvements.
  • Support Marcom Manager to collect regional marketing intelligence and data analysis to enable strategic planning.


You would be an ideal match if you are:

  • College graduate/BA degree holder of any sort with Relevant marketing/ business experiences in scientific instruments. Even better if experienced in public relations or event management.
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing, supporting and managing web-based media.
  • A fluent or native in German and English, another language (such as French and/or Spanish) is a plus.
  • Professional writing skill for easy-to-read and attractive contents.
  • The skill of interviewing customers and compiling them into articles.
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Organised, with solid administrative/reporting skills and proficient PC skills including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Proactive self-starter with “can do” attitude.
  • Customer focused, establishes and exploits good, mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills to engage with and manage through people.
  • Ready to travel.
