Technical Sales Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical sales support providing technical information, prepare precalculation according to sales/customer specification, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and adherence to paper trail.
  • Ensuring that technical sales queries and tenders are processed effectively, accurately and owned and managed from start to finish to sales/customer satisfaction and company standard.
  • Monitor and control technical risk, cost and margin during the order management process. Provide information for DoA compliance.
  • CES management into quotations with approval
  • Provide sales support in line with platform roadmaps and configurator
  • Complete effective handover to Engineering team for post sales support.
  • Work in conjunction with Commericial Order Adminstration team to coordinate, lead and track replies from the company to customer enquiry or tender. Ensure timely and accurate responses for quotations and tenders, where necessary, taking a lead in complex bid requirements.
  • Provide quotations for internal capex requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate data base of cost/margin information. Provide technical risk information to support single page summary for DoA compliance.
  • Prepare technical description of non-standard items (CES). CES approval, management and engagement with Engineering team. Addition of CES into quotation.
  • Manage to successful conclusion all technical queries from sales and internal colleagues. Ensure pre order information is effectively and proactively handed over to Post sales support team.



  • A technical, relevant higher education qualification is preferred.
  • Product knowledge will be an advantage.


Proffesional Skills/Abilites:

  • Able to appreciate and understand the applications and technical performance of our products.
  • Able to technically qualify enquiries for non-standard and/or complex items.
  • Able to create accurate technical quotations.
  • Strong customer focus – takes into account the customer needs in recommending solutions
  • Skilled in project management.
  • Problem-solving and Time management skills.
  • Well trained / experience in MS office (in particular Excel) and ERP/CRM/quotation systems.
