We’re looking for an Infrastructure & Network Engineer to help ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our core IT estate. This is a great opportunity to work across on‑premise and cloud environments, supporting critical platforms that underpin our business and enabling innovation across multiple sites.

Reporting to the Senior Network Architect, you’ll work closely with IT Operations, Information Security, Enterprise Applications, and third‑party partners to deliver resilient, secure, and well‑run infrastructure services.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure, including switching, routing, wireless, and WAN technologies
  • Assisting with firewall configuration and network security controls
  • Administering and supporting Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune) and Azure AD
  • Supporting server environments including Windows Server, virtualisation platforms, storage, and backup solutions
  • Troubleshooting and resolving escalated infrastructure and network issues
  • Contributing to infrastructure and security improvements across multiple sites
  • Supporting patching, monitoring, incident response, and business continuity activities
  • Assisting with disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Maintaining accurate system documentation, network diagrams, and procedures
  • Monitoring performance and capacity to help improve reliability and resilience

 

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to tick every box, but you should be able to demonstrate strong experience in at least five of the areas below:

  • Enterprise LAN/WAN networking (routing, switching, VLANs, Wi‑Fi)
  • Firewall administration and network security
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure AD identity management
  • Windows Server, Linux, virtualisation (VMware / Hyper‑V), and storage
  • Client operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
  • Troubleshooting complex infrastructure and network issues
  • Applying security best practice (patching, hardening, identity)
  • Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience delivering infrastructure or security solutions across multiple locations
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

 

Qualifications (desirable)

  • Industry certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), or CompTIA (Network+, Server+, Security+)
  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline
