Primary Purpose:
As sales engineer, you will combine technical knowledge with sales management skills to achieve sales targets and build strong presence and revenue pipeline. |
Key Responsibilities:
- Travelling across INDIA to generate the appropriate level of sales activity and achieve agreed financial targets
- Generate, qualify and manage all sales leads, prospects and new customer accounts
- Maintain CRM and report, sales forecasts, potential sales, customer feedback and activity plan and other reports, as required.
- Interact with prospective buyer right from the first contact, through tenders, Negotiation and closure of orders.
- Identify new business opportunities and take appropriate action.
- Follow up any new enquires promptly and efficiently.
- Build and maintain relationships with our customer base through regular travel and site visits.
- Should be able to use the CRM and generate quotes using the software.
- Constantly updating the CRM for a process driven Sales activity discussion.
- Maintain contact with Team Leader/ Line Manager, ensuring that they are kept aware of progress.
- Work with sales and marketing teams to provide feedback on our competitive position in the market and product/market intelligence.
- Attend shows and exhibitions, as necessary.
- Report on sales and market issues via the CRM.
- Work with service team to provide fast and professional response to customer issues.
- Participate in training and development activities as required.
- Project a professional and competent image of Oxford Instruments and it’s products at all times.
- Operate at all times in accordance with health and safety at work legislation.
- Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities in line with the scope and level of responsibility of the post.
