We are now looking for an Applications Support Analyst to work in our Head office IT based in Tubney Woods, Abingdon. This role will have a specific focus on Finance applications.

 

You will report to the Group IT BA Manager and the purpose of the role is to provide a first-class support experience to users of Group IT applications for both BAU and project-based activities concentrating predominantly but not exclusively on finance-based processes.  Actively promoting best practice, and delivering value to the business, effectively, efficiently and to a high standard. 

 

Some of the key areas:

 

  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd line Functional systems support for Enterprise Applications
  • Provide Technical knowledge and support for “Business as usual” service delivery tasks, working to create an ”Automate First” approach to repeatable tasks 
  • Prioritise, triage, and resolve support issues
  • Answering queries raised by users of the systems
  • Liaising with internal teams as well as clients and vendors, ensuring they are up to date on the progress of issues and resolutions
  • Provide accurate and professional communications to internal customers on the progress against issues and requests
  • Assist in the deployment of core products, taking end to end ownership for the delivery of assigned work packages
  • Create and maintain content for a support knowledge wiki ensuring we share knowledge to the wider community as appropriate
  • Drive standardisation, simplification, and efficiencies through seeking appropriate solutions
  • Provide Ad-hoc training to business as required
  • Proactively work with the IT Trainer to streamline and enhance IT Training of our core systems across the business
  • System testing upgrades and changes to confirm adherence against specification and customer outcomes. Documented in system test plans
  • Actively support problem management eliminating where possible root causes

This role is a hybrid role with the main location being Tubney Woods, Abingdon. We work 8.00 until 4.30 Monday to Thursday and finish at 1.00 on a Friday so you can start your weekend early.
