We are looking for a Senior Development Engineer that is as passionate about technology and quality as we are.  You can throw yourself into concept design, development and validation of our new products.  Our products are helping to change the world and you can be a part of that.

The opportunity

 

You will be responsible for the development of products and projects that meet customer requirements, this will include ensuring quality design, product validation and compliance, as well as providing support for the manufacture and installation of our cryogenic systems.  Concept costing will need to be completed at either sub-system or system level (depending upon complexity) and technical documentation provided to support system development. You will undertake safety and reliability assessments, conduct risk mitigation reviews and complete calculations and verification testing to validate the designs.

 

 

About You

 

You are likely to have a degree (or higher) in a relevant science or engineering discipline, as well as previous NPI experience, ideally related to the design of systemised products. Knowledge of cryogenic systems and dilution refrigerators is desirable, however training on our technology will be provided. Your experience of developing design and product specifications, analysing and faulting finding on complex systems is essential. Excellent communication skills, team working and problem-solving abilities, together with a thorough approach to developing and documenting processes will help you to guide technicians through the new build and test operations.
