Technical Support Engineer - Andor, Shanghai, China

Key Responsibilities

  • Field Service support for customers.
  • Trouble microscopy systems, cameras and other related devices.
  • Promote corresponding service products portfolio in responsible products and regions
  • Cooperate with other colleagues that in China and in factory of headquarter.
  • work with local staff and service tracking systems to ensure suitable response times and solutions. Engage in problem solving and deliver clear and concise answers.
  • Assist in other regional marketing activities in their region including road shows, trade exhibitions and mailshots.
  • Must be willing to travel 20-50%.
  • Any other duties as may be reasonably requested from time to time by your Line Manager.

  • Customer support tickets/cases completeness and efficiency.

Person Specification – Essential requirements unless stated


Education / Qualifications:


  • Bachelor or higher of optical, physics, EE, optical-electronics engineering, etc. or master or higher of life science, material, chemistry.

Professional Skills/ Abilities:


  • Basic background knowledge of optical and physics, at least 1 year of experience in instrumentation of optical or electronics. with rich experience and hands-on skills with microscopy systems.
  • Good English reading and writing, no problem on spoken English for communication on general work.


Personal Qualities:


  • Willing on studying and solving problem.
  • Ability of working under pressure, and arranging multi-mission.
  • Consciousness of improve own work, including modifying workflows and develop simple tools.
