Oxford Instruments is seeking a motivated and forward‑thinking Manager Payroll, Compensation & Benefits to lead and harmonise our reward practices across the EMEAI region. This is a pivotal role ensuring operational excellence in payroll while driving modern, fair and competitive compensation and benefits strategies that help us attract, motivate and retain top talent.

You will work closely with HR Teams across EMEAI, the Global Reward team, Finance, and our external payroll providers to deliver high‑quality, compliant and impactful reward programmes.

Oxford Instruments is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll & Reward Specialist to support payroll operations across the EMEAI region. This role has a strong operational focus on payroll delivery, with additional exposure to compensation and benefits processes.

You will work closely with HR, Finance and external payroll providers to ensure accurate, compliant and timely salary processing across multiple countries.


Your Responsibilities

Payroll (Core Focus)

  • Support monthly payroll processing across multiple EMEAI countries
  • Act as a point of contact for external payroll providers
  • Maintain and validate payroll-relevant data (new hires, leavers, salary changes, absences, bonuses)
  • Review payroll reports and resolve discrepancies in a structured and timely manner
  • Collaborate closely with Finance on approvals, controls and reporting
  • Handle employee queries related to payroll in a clear and professional way
  • Contribute to the improvement and documentation of payroll processes

Compensation & Benefits 

  • Assist in annual salary review and bonus processes
  • Support benefits administration across different countries
  • Maintain data for benchmarking and reporting
  • Support HR reporting and key metrics (e.g. headcount, cost tracking)
  • Contribute to reward-related projects and initiatives

Your Scope

EMEAI region, including Germany as a core market, plus additional European countries and India.


What You Bring

  • Degree or vocational qualification in HR, business administration, finance or a related field
  • Initial experience in payroll, HR operations, or administration
  • Basic understanding of German payroll, tax and social security processes is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured working style
  • Good Excel skills and confidence working with systems (e.g. SAP SuccessFactors is a plus)
  • High level of reliability, accuracy and sense of responsibility
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines
  • Good communication skills in an international environment
  • Fluent German and English
